Money saving tips for family vacations
(KBSI) – For many families, summertime is a time to make memories with their kids and do a little traveling. But with inflation, you might be on a tight budget to make those memories happen.
Camping is a great way to stretch your dollars and make memories.
There are a seemingly endless list of activities to fill your day like hiking, fishing, and playing in the water.
“I’m a huge advocate for camping,” said Michael Townsend, a park superintendent at Mohoney State Park. “I think that families should always get outside and enjoy the great outdoors, getting that sunshine on you is going to be the best thing you can do in the summer and it doesn’t have to be an expensive event.”
Missouri offers 41 state parks and historic sites with more than 3,500 campsites that range from secluded walk-in sites to sites with hookups for water, sewer and electrical service.
