Power restored in Scott City

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – Ameren Missouri reported power outages in the Scott City area Friday afternoon.

Ameren reports 2,392 customers without service near Scott City at 4:10 p.m.

Ameren told customers the outage was due to equipment damage.

Parents of children in Scott City School District were sent texts that said the school was opening the FEMA building as a cooling center for anyone who needs to use it.
