More than 650 meters still without power according to an update from Citizen’s Electric
MISSOURI(KBSI) – Citizen’s electric updated at 8:40 am on March 16, 2025, that they are still working hard on power outages.
Crews worked late into the night and are now back this morning, working in the sleet, wind, and cold temperatures this morning.
Outages come after a large number of storms swept through the area.
According to Citizens Electric overnight, the number of broken poles grew to 40, as damage assessments continued.
There still about 660 meters without power.
Two transmission structures have fallen causing additional issues and work with underlying distribution.
Transmission repairs must be made before distribution can be energized.
They say work will continue today with hope to have one fallen section repaired by the end of the day.
The second section of transmission repairs will likely carry into tomorrow.
