Mother, boyfriend face several charges after unresponsive child dies at hospital

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. (KBSI) – A mother and her boyfriend face several charges after police say an unresponsive child was brought to a medical center in Fredericktown and pronounced dead.

Hayden W. Rosener faces charges of felony abuse or neglect of a child (resulting in death), endangering the welfare of a child 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance felony D.

Rylee R. Fararro faces charges of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death of a child (felony A), endangering the welfare of a child 1st degree and death of a child (felony A).

Fredericktown police officers were dispatched to Madison Medical Center on March 27 at 12:55 a.m. for suspicious circumstances of an unresponsive juvenile.

When officers arrived they were notified by medical staff that the juvenile was dead and showed evidence of abuse or neglect.

The mother of the child was detained immediately at Madison Medical Center. Frederickton officers found and detained the mother’s boyfriend for questioning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control investigators were called to assist in the investigation.

After all investigations and interviews were concluded, probable cause was obtained.

A $1 million cash bond was set for Rosener.

Fararro’s bond was set at $500,000 cash.
