Mount Vernon man facing aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A Mount Vernon man faces aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges.

Noah T. Gordon, 24, of Mount Vernon faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Class 2 felony).

Authorities arrested Gordon on May 1 after a months long investigation.

Numerous law enforcement agencies and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office detectives investigated the allegation which led to an arrest warrant being issued by the Franklin County States Attorney.

Gordon was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

The Centralia Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Amy Schulz Child Advocacy Center participated in the investigation.

Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon thanked all the involved agencies for their work in the protection of children.
