Multi-agency investigation underway, infant abandoned at crime scene

Authorities are investigating the discovery of an abandoned infant and a crime scene in neighboring Lake County where four people were found dead.

The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and has requested assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the FBI.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box expressed his condolences, saying, “This is a deeply saddening day for our community. We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served.”
