Multi-agency operation collects firearms, narcotics in Cape Girardeau Co.

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A joint operation between the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, the Cape Girardeau Police Department and the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal firearms and narcotics on Tuesday.

The search warrant execution yielded:

– 36 firearms
– Large quantities of ammunition
– Illegal narcotics
– Drug paraphernalia

William R. Geiser, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was taken into custody. A no-bond state warrant was issued for his arrest by Judge Miller.

Geiser remains in custody as the investigation continues, with additional charges possible. A charge is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
