Multi-vehicle crash in Carbondale results in minor injuries

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A traffic crash involving a Jackson County Mass Transit bus and a vehicle occurred Wednesday morning, leaving several people with minor injuries.

According to Carbondale police, the crash happened at 11:07 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Wall Street.

The driver of the vehicle turned into the path of the bus, striking it.

Two passengers on the bus and both occupants of the vehicle were injured. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for improper lane use.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Carbondale Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
