Multiple agencies worked together in locating missing 11-year-old found in the woods

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Child reported missing was located safe.

According to the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency several units responded to a report of a missing child in Marshall County on December 19, 2024.

Marshall County Rescue Squad, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and West Marshall Fire Department quickly responded for a missing 11-year-old boy.

With the help of all responding units the boy was found in the woods.

Other than being cold and soaking wet with scratches from the weeds, he was safe and unharmed.

He was sent with EMS to the hospital for evaluation.

Marshall County Emergency Management Agency says all responding agencies worked together and did a great job.

With the cooler temperatures at night, they say it may have had a different outcome had the child not been found as quickly.
