Multiple arrests for drug trafficking in Mayfield KY
MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI)- Several weeks long investigation leads to multiple arrests for drug trafficking in and around the Mayfield area.
Graves County Sheriff’s detectives have been sifting through information concerning numerous individuals that reportedly have been selling illegal drugs (crystal Methamphetamine) in the area.
A series of undercover drug purchases and investigations led to several arrest warrants being obtained, suspects arrested, and searches being conducted.
On May 02, 2024, detectives arrested 40-year-old Justin C. Fuqua of Graves County for Trafficking in crystal Methamphetamine, following and undercover investigation.
Fuqua has been previously convicted for felony possession of crystal Methamphetamine, and Illegal possession of a Meth Precursor.
On May 04, 2024, 52-year-old Penny E. Todd of Norsworthey Lane in Sedalia was arrested on a warrant charging her with the illegal sale of Hydrocodone (Lortab) 2nd Offense.
Todd has previous felony convictions for Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and Possession of.
On May 05, 2024, at approximately 4:30AM, 47-year-old Shawn A. Johnson of South 3rd Street in Mayfield was arrested on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Trafficking within 1000 yards of a School, while at a Maple Street residence.
Johnson is a convicted felon for Trafficking in Controlled Substances within 1000 yards of school, and possession of Methamphetamine X 2.
On May 04, 2024, at approximately 8:20PM, sheriff’s deputies conducted a search at a Sedalia area residence located on Norsworthy Lane. During a search, loaded syringes containing Methamphetamine was located along with other related items.
Arrested: Jones, Kevin L. age 36
McKenzie, Tn. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
On May 05, 2024, at 5AM, deputies arrested 37-year-old Elizabeth M. Melendez of Maple Avenue in Mayfield was arrested on an arrest warrant charging her with Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
On May 03, 2024, at 3PM, deputies arrested 40-year-old Jorge A. Medina of Paducah was arrested in the 800 block of Maple Avenue in Mayfield on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
Medina has previously been convicted for Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
Also on May 05, 2024, detectives arrested 37-year-old Elizabeth M. Melendez of Maple Avenue at a Babb Drive address on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
These investigations are ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
