MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (KBSI) — Molina Healthcare of Illinois and the Jackson County Health Department are partnering to host a Back-to-School Bash to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Jackson County Health Department, 415 Health Department Road in Murphysboro.
Families can receive back-to-school vaccinations, fluoride treatments and car seat safety checks. Backpacks and school supplies will also be available while supplies last. Community organizations will be on hand to provide information about local resources and services.
Organizers encourage families to register in advance for vaccination appointments or car seat inspections through the Jackson County Health Department’s website.
Molina Healthcare of Illinois said the event is part of a statewide initiative to help reduce the financial burden of back-to-school expenses while ensuring students have access to essential health services before classes begin.
The event is free and open to the public.
