CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – The Murray Bank has donated to help restore the historic bell at the Calloway County Courthouse ahead of this year’s Freedom Fest and America’s 250th Anniversary celebration.

According to Calloway County Fiscal Court, the restored courthouse bell is expected to ring across downtown Murray once again before the Freedom Fest Parade, marking the return of a longtime community landmark.

Calloway County Judge-Executive Kenny Imes thanked the bank for supporting the project.

“I am very grateful for The Murray Bank’s support of this project,” Imes said. “They have long been a strong community partner, and their investment will help preserve an important piece of Calloway County’s history for future generations.”

The courthouse bell restoration is part of preparations for the county’s Freedom Fest and America’s 250th Anniversary celebration.
