Murray man accused of intimidating witness, tampering with evidence

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI)— A Murray man faces additional charges after deputies accused him of intimidating a witness and attempting to destroy evidence, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Devin Edwards around 7 p.m. Sept. 3 for allegedly violating a Kentucky emergency protective order.

During the investigation, deputies said they found evidence that Edwards had allegedly intimidated a witness and attempted to destroy physical evidence connected to the case.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant, and Edwards was arrested on the additional charges Sept. 13.

Edwards faces charges of violating an emergency protective order, intimidating a participant in the legal process and tampering with physical evidence. The latter two charges are Class D felonies.
