Murray man facing assault, drug charges after report of fight

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces several charges after sheriff’s deputies were called to a home about a fight and someone holding people in a against their will.

Alexander D. Roulette, 28, of Murray faces charges of assault 4th degree (domestic violence) – minor injury, four counts of resisting arrest, four counts of assault 3rd degree-police officer (Class D felony), unlawful imprisonment 1st degree, possession controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Lena Drive in Murray for a physical altercation on Friday, February 23 at 4 a.m.

It was reported that Alexander Roulette had physically assaulted people in the household and was holding them against their will, according to Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies.

When deputies arrived they made contact with Roulette inside the home.

They say Roulette would not comply with their requests and began physically resisting.

Two more deputies arrived and assisted in trying to restrain him as he was actively fighting.

Deputies use a Taser and arrested Roulette. There were no serious injuries, but all people involved sustained minor injuries.

Roulette was taken to a healthcare facility to be checked and was released.

He was also found to be in possession of illicit drugs, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Rouletter was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
