Murray man facing charges after sheriff’s deputies called for fight

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Murray man faces charges after Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home for a fight.

Steven L. Frantz, 18, of Murray faces two counts of assault 4th degree-domestic violence minor injury, two counts of wanton endangerment 1st deg (Class D felony) and one count of cruelty to animals 2nd degree (attempted).

Deputies were called to a home on Kirksey Almo Road for an altercation around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26.

Sheriff’s deputies say Frantz had been in a physical altercation with family members.

When deputies arrived, they say he was armed with a knife in the yard. He was ordered to drop the knife and he complied.

Frantz was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
