Murray man facing drug charges after deputies serve bench warrant

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Murray man faces drug charges after sheriff’s deputies served a bench warrant.

Cody Elkins, 38, of Murray faces charges possession of controlled substance 1st degree 3rd or greater offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear-warrant issued by Calloway County Circuit Court.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies served a bench warrant on Elkins on Thursday, January 25 around 4 p.m.

Deputies say he was found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

Elkins was found guilty of manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine in 2020 by the Calloway County Circuit Court.
