Murray police announce sobriety checkpoint locations

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Murray Police Department plans to conduct sobriety checkpoints at several locations across the city to discourage impaired driving and improve roadway safety.

Checkpoint locations may include:

South 12th Street between Glendale Road and the Murray city limits
Main Street between Eighth and Ninth streets
Wilshire Drive between Bailey Road and Vasser Drive
Glendale Road between Ninth and 12th streets
Main Street between Industrial Road and the Murray city limits
Chestnut Street at Eighth Street
U.S. 641 at Diuguid Drive
Doran Road at Holiday Drive
North 16th Street at Olive Street
Kentucky 94 at Doran Road
Fourth Street between Sycamore Street and the southern Murray city limits
Olive Street between Sixth and 12th streets
North 16th Street between Kentucky 121 and Diuguid Drive
Bailey Road at Kentucky 121

Police did not announce specific dates or times for the checkpoints.
