MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Construction is progressing on Murray State University’s new Learning Commons and residence hall.

The four-story facility is being built south of the Susan E. Bauernfeind Wellness Center and will include more than 250 beds.

The building also will feature a dining option, student success center, meeting spaces, a classroom and study rooms with private, semi-private and open areas.

University officials said the project is designed to modernize campus housing and provide additional space to accommodate Murray State’s growing student population.
