Murray State names new Director of Athletics

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) -Murray State University officially introduced the school’s 10th director of athletics on Tuesday.

Nico Yantko is the university’s 10th Director of Athletics.

“This is more than a great job or the next step in a career and I’ll say it 100 more times but this is blood sweat and tears and I’m very proud to be a Murray State Racer,” Yantko said.

He is a 2010 graduate of Murray State. Yantko played quarterback for the Racer football team.

Most recently he worked with the University of Louisiana as the Deputy Director of Athletics.
