Murray woman charged with attempted murder after stabbing at Goodwill

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) — A Murray woman is facing multiple charges after a stabbing incident at a local Goodwill store Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Murray Police Department, officers were dispatched to the store around 1:36 p.m. on April 21 in response to a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located two victims. Police say one person had sustained a stab wound, while a second victim had been assaulted with a shovel.
The victim with the stab wound was airlifted to a regional medical facility for treatment. The condition of the second victim has not been released.
Following an investigation, police arrested Madison Hinchey, 30, of Murray. She is charged with attempted murder, second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault.
Authorities thanked Murray-Calloway County Ambulance Service, the Murray Fire Department, AirEvac and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
Police remind the public that all individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
