Music at the Caboose to raise funds for remembrance marker for missing woman
SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – The community is invited to be a part of an event to help raise funds for a remembrance marker for Cheryl Anne Scherer.
Forty-five years ago, the 19-year-old disappeared while working at a gas station in Scott City in broad daylight.
Her family continues to work to keep the case in the public in the hopes that they will one day find out what happened to the teenager.
Now they’d like to put up a marker in the location to tell Cheryl’s story.
Anthony Scherer, Younger brother to Cheryl Anne says, “To that, we really don’t know. But we still hope that maybe one day we’ll have the answers or at least find her, to give her a decent…ending.”
Donations can be given in cash, check or PayPal.
Checks can be made payable to Benefit Fund for Cheryl Anne Scherer Remembrance Marker.
For PayPal you can find it under cherylannescherer – for friends and family – to make a donation.
They are also selling T-shirts for $25.00 and caps for $30.00 with profits going to the marker too.
Music at the Caboose takes place Thursday, June 6 in Scott City from 6-8 p.m.
