PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Narcan distribution stands are being installed in several western Kentucky counties.

The stands will be located in Turning Point Recovery Community Center’s service area which includes Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, McCracken, and Marshall counties.

Each box will be stocked with Narcan along with information about Turning Point and substance use.

The Narcan will be free and placed in high traffic areas.

“We have always offered Narcan for free in our downtown Paducah offices – and we will still do that – and, with the alarming rise in opioid-related deaths in rural communities, it has become imperative to enhance access to Narcan and equip individuals with tools they need to intervene during overdose emergencies,” said Turning Point Program Director Brandon Fitch.

This project will help bridge the gap by providing resources and support for people struggling with opioid addiction right in their own neighborhood.
