New business comes to Broadway in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo (KBSI) – Construction on a new multi-purpose business is underway in Cape Girardeau

Ken Murphy is the general manager for Broadway Bistro and Vintage Trade located at 811 Broadway.

He says his inspiration for the new business is the Broadway Theatre that sits next door.

The bistro will be a full service restaurant and service specialty coffees, pastries , breakfast, and lunch.

“We’re pairing the Broadway Bistro along with a vintage trade,” said Murphy. “It’s going to be a very nice antique trade mall.”

There will be a vintage trade mall that will have 20 different booths down in the basement.

There is also a 20,000 square foot event and banquet center that can be rented for parties and events.

“We will be right next to the historical Broadway Theatre remodel so when I saw that going on I pitched the idea to open up a sport right next to it to bring more excitement and energy right here on this corner of Broadway,” he said.

The event center is available for rent now.

The restaurant and vintage trade mall will be open in mid to late September and be open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
