New Concord man facing drug charges

(KBSI) – A New Concord man faces drug charges after sheriff’s deputies searched a home in July.

Allen R. Erwin, 41, of New Concord faces charges of cultivating marijuana less than five plants 1st offense (Class A misdemeanor), possession of controlled substance 1st deg 1st offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a forged instrument 1st degree (Class C felony).

In July 2023 an investigation was conducted which led deputies to obtain a search warrant on a home in New Concord.

Illicit drugs and what is believed to be a counterfeit $100 bill were found in the home, according to deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

A warrant was issued for Erwin. He was arrested on December 1 about 5 p.m. in New Concord.

He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center on that warrant.
