New lioness with heart-shaped marking arrives at Saint Louis Zoo

ST. LOUIS, Mo., (KBSI) — The Saint Louis Zoo is welcoming a new resident to Big Cat Country, and she comes with a distinctive natural marking.

Araali, a 6-year-old lioness, has a heart-shaped marking in the center of her forehead, according to the zoo. Her mother has a similar marking.

The zoo said Araali is now on exhibit daily at Big Cat Country, where visitors can see her.

Zoo officials are encouraging visitors to stop by this weekend to meet the new lioness.
