New Madrid police investigating series of vehicle break-ins

NEW MADRID, Mo., (KBSI) — The New Madrid Police Department is investigating several vehicle break-ins reported early Friday morning in multiple neighborhoods.

According to police, the incidents occurred in the areas of Mill Street, Davis Street, Mitchell Street, St. Joseph Street, and St. Paul Street.

Residents in those areas are urged to:

Check their vehicles for signs of tampering or missing items.

Review home security or doorbell camera footage from late Thursday night or early Friday morning for any suspicious activity.

Report any information or video evidence to Sgt. Dooley with the New Madrid Police Department.

Police say community cooperation is essential to identifying those responsible and preventing additional incidents.
