New manager announced for Cape Girardeau Regional Airport

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau has a new airport manager.

Cape Girardeau City Manager Dr. Kenneth Haskin appointed JoJo Stuart as the city’s new airport manager.

Stuart comes with extensive aviation, firefighting and emergency management experience. He has more than seven years in airport operations management, 16 years with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and his most recent role as Fire Captain/Assistant Emergency Management Director.

“I am pleased to have JoJo step into this role, his wealth of experience, his composure under pressure, and his high character instantly impressed me,” said  Dr. Haskin. “I know JoJo’s experience and knowledge set will prove to be a tremendous asset to our community and we anticipate the transition to be smooth and seamless.”

“I am very excited for the opportunity to be part of the growth and continued success of the Airport and all of the possibilities it can open for the City of Cape Girardeau,” said Stuart.

Stuart holds an Associate of Science Degree in Aviation Management/Flight Operations and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Daniel Webster College.

He also has several fire certifications, including incident command certifications and has extensive experience in operations of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) truck.

Stuart begins his new role immediately and work with current Airport Manager Katrina Amos until her departure on September 13.
