New picnic tables installed at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Visitors to Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial can now enjoy new seating at Patriot Plaza thanks to a community-led project honoring a local veteran.

Memorial officials announced new picnic tables have been installed at Patriot Plaza through a donation from volunteer Sara Boland, who funded the project in memory of her father, Raymond Schweigert.

The project was completed with assistance from future Eagle Scout Jack Unverferth and fellow Scouts.

Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial invited visitors to stop by Patriot Plaza, take a seat and enjoy the memorial grounds.

The memorial is located in Perryville and serves as a tribute to military veterans and their service to the nation.
