EAST PRAIRIE, Mo., (KBSI) — The East Prairie R-II School District is partnering with Southeast Missouri State University through the SEMO Educators Advantage program to provide expanded educational opportunities for faculty and staff.

According to the district, the partnership will give East Prairie employees access to tuition discounts on SEMO online undergraduate, graduate and paraprofessional pathway programs.

District officials said the program is designed to help educators continue their professional development while making higher education more affordable and accessible.

East Prairie Superintendent Dustin Hicks said many district employees are SEMO graduates and welcomed the opportunity for staff members to continue their education through the partnership.

SEMO President Dr. Brad Hodson said the agreement supports the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with school districts across southeast Missouri and invest in regional workforce development.

The Educators Advantage program is part of SEMO’s broader initiative aimed at supporting educators and expanding access to higher education opportunities throughout the region.
