New trial date set for suspect in teen’s fatal shooting

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A new trial date has been set for Tre’marion Jones, accused of fatally shooting a teenager in a CVS parking lot in Cape Girardeau.

During a court appearance Tuesday, a judge scheduled Jones’ trial for the week of Sept. 22., the original trial date was January 7th.

Jones faces charges including first-degree murder in connection with the February shooting death of 17-year-old KeMari Childress outside a CVS store.
