Nighttime lane restriction on I-24 in McCracken County resumes

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A nighttime lane restriction on Interstate 24 in McCracken County resumes tonight, weather permitting, as a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet works on leveling and micro-paving the roadway.

The work zone, which will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., will start on I-24 westbound near Exit 16 and move westbound before switching to eastbound.

A reduced speed limit of 55 mph will be in effect, and motorists should be alert for signage and trucks guiding traffic. Some ramps will also be closed intermittently for paving.

The project is expected to continue until mid-to-late July, with a break from June 28 to July 6 for the July 4th holiday.
