No foul play suspected after human remains found in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that no foul play is suspected in the death of a person whose remains were found Dec. 4 in a wooded area near the 1300 block of Tennessee Street.
The Paducah Police Department and the McCracken County Coroner’s Office are continuing to work to identify the deceased. Investigators said the process may take significant time due to the condition of the remains.

Officers were called to the wooded area shortly after noon on Dec. 4 after contractors working nearby reported finding a body. Police confirmed the remains were in an advanced state of decomposition. The coroner’s office scheduled an autopsy for the following day.
The investigation is ongoing.
