No injuries reported after school bus involved in Harrisburg crash

HARRISBURG, Ill., (KBSI) — No injuries were reported after a school bus carrying about 20 people was involved in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Harrisburg.

According to the Harrisburg Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Sloan and Capital streets around 7:31 a.m. Aug. 17.

Police described the crash as minor and said no one on the bus was injured.

Officers documented the crash, and the children were transferred to another bus to continue to school.

Police said the Harrisburg School District will notify parents whose children were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The Harrisburg Fire Department and Abbott EMS also responded to the scene.
