Nonprofit leader charged with domestic assault in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The founder and president of a Cape Girardeau nonprofit organization has been charged with third-degree domestic assault.

Allison Miles, leader of Street Level, which aids people experiencing homelessness, was charged following an alleged assault on Feb. 17.

According to court documents, the victim reported the incident to police on Feb. 27 and claimed Miles was under the influence of methamphetamines at the time.

The victim also recorded the alleged attack on their cell phone.

Miles’ initial court appearance has not been scheduled.
