Notre Dame Senior Nicholas Dial named National Merit Semifinalist

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – Notre Dame Regional High School senior Nicholas Dial has been named a semifinalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program, placing him among the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide.

Dial will now have the opportunity to advance to the finalist level and compete for one of nearly 7,000 scholarships valued at a combined $26 million to be awarded next spring.

School officials praised Dial for his academic achievement and recognition on the national stage.
