Notre Dame tennis coach receives full time national anthem singer position with the St. Louis Blues
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A local man will now sing the national anthem for the St. Louis Blues.
Pershard Owens is currently a tennis coach at Notre Dame Regional Highschool in Cape Girardeau.
On September 20, previous anthem singer Charles Glenn handed the position off to tennis coach Pershard Owens.
Owens plans to continue working as a tennis coach for Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau Mo. His players say they are proud of his new accomplishment, and thankful that he will continue to be their coach.
The St. Louis Blues posted an announcement video on their social media platforms.
Pershard Owens will be the full-time anthem singer.
