Obion schools hold active shooter training before new school year

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. (KBSI) – Obion County holds active shooter training for all schools on July 28, 2023.
Obion County is gearing up for the new school year by making sure all schools and officers in the county have a proper active shooter plan and training.
The district’s School Resource Officer’s, along with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Karl Jackson, are gathering the staff at each school for Active Shooter Training.
Lt. Jonathan Reyna, SRO Supervisor, and other SRO’s are presenting materials and crucial knowledge about what to do in the event of an Active Shooter.
Sadly, these trainings are necessary”, states Lauren Kendall Communications director of Obion County schools, “but we are so grateful to have a team that is dedicated to the safety of our staff, students, and community.”
