O’Fallon man arrested for July arson in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – An O’Fallon man faces an arson charge in Sikeston.

Sikeston DPS Fire Division responded to a structure fire in the 200 block of Adams on July 31, 2023 around 3 p.m.

Fire Division personnel arrived at the home see fire and smoke coming from the home.

Once the fire was extinguished , Sgt. Whitley began his investigation and deployed K-9 Sammy (accelerant detection canine) to help find the cause and origin investigation of the fire.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that fire was intentionally set.

On December 19, 2023 Sikeston DPS Fire Investigators brought formal arson charges against the resident from the house fire on July 31, 2023.

Morris D. Falkoff of O’Fallon, Mo. faces a charge of arson 2nd degree through Scott County.

He is in custody on these charges.

Sikeston DPS thanked fire investigators, Sgt. Whitley, Sgt. Johnson and K-9 Sammy and the O’Fallon Police Department for the assistance in arresting Morris Falkoff for the outstanding warrant.
