Old Said Road in McCracken County reopened after crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in McCracken County.

Deputies were dispatched to a crash with possible injuries at the 1900 block of Old Said Road around 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1.

Deputies determined that Dalton Quertermous, 29, of Paducah was driving a black 2018 Ford F-150 on Old Said Road.

The vehicle was hauling a trailer and had moved over in his lane of travel to allow oncoming traffic more room in the road.

The F-150 then dropped off the right shoulder of the road around the 1900 block of Old Said Road.

Quertermous tried to get back on the road but was unable to before striking a tree with the passenger door area of his vehicle, according to deputies.

The F-150, a trailer and lawnmowers being hauled were all damaged in the crash.

Mercy Regional EMS arrived on scene and assessed Kaden Quertermous, a juvenile passenger for non-incapacitating injuries.

Quertermous reported no injuries and deputies say further medical treatment for Kaden was declined by his parents.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour and a half.

The Paducah Police Department, Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS and Harper’s Towing assisted the sheriff’s office.
