Old Town Cape announces 2025 Parade of Lights winners

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Old Town Cape, Inc. has announced the winners of the 33rd Annual Downtown Parade of Lights, held this year with the theme “Charlie Brown Christmas.”
The 2025 parade featured entries from area schools, organizations, clubs and businesses. Judges selected winners in six categories:
Best Theme: Dutch Enterprises
Best Business Appearance: Plants Plus
Best Nonprofit Appearance: St. Mary’s
Best Music: Oran Marching Band
Best Lighting: In Memory of Eric Uhrhan & Dominic Hooper
Chairman’s Award: Rock ‘N’ Roll Drive-In
Old Town Cape expressed appreciation to those who helped make the parade possible, including Parade of Lights coordinators Kent and Vicki Zickfield, Wendi Beussink and William Zickfield; judges Lisa Gerlach, Debbie Farrow, Cherie Herbst, Debbie Barnhouse and Jan Gerard; and the City of Cape Girardeau, City Public Works, Cape Girardeau Police Department, Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, event volunteers, parade participants and spectators.
The organization also thanked its Christmas in Downtown sponsors — Drury Southwest, Rhodes, Saint Francis Healthcare System and The Rhodes Group — as well as the Horse & Carriage Sponsor, the Downtown Cape Girardeau Community Improvement District.
