Old Town Cape releases 2025 Christmas ornament featuring First Presbyterian Church

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Old Town Cape, Inc. has unveiled its 2025 Christmas ornament featuring the First Presbyterian Church.
The ornament is the 29th in the annual series created by Hestia and only 228 have been produced this year. Each year, the ornament fundraiser highlights a historic location or community tradition tied to downtown Cape Girardeau.
“Each year, our ornament fundraiser celebrates a landmark that tells the story of our downtown, and this year, we are honored to feature the First Presbyterian Church,” said Liz Haynes, Old Town Cape executive director. “Its generous community support and deep roots in the community make it a symbol of both tradition and connection, reflecting the heart of Old Town Cape.”
Past ornaments that are still available include Lorimier School (2002), the Marquette Hotel (2004), The Red House (2006), The River Campus (2008), The Glenn House (2009), The Schultz School (2010), Hutson’s Christmas Window (2011), Mississippi Riverboat (2012), The Oliver-Leming House (2013), The River Tales Mural (2015), Shivelbine Music Store (2016), the River Heritage Museum (2017), the H & H Building (2018), Zickfield’s Jewelry & Gifts (2019), B’Nai Israel Synagogue (2022), and the Christmas Tree Lighting (2023).
The 2025 ornament costs $30 with a stand or $25 without and is available at several Cape Girardeau retailers, including Old Town Cape, CP McGinty Jewelers, Hutson’s Big Sandy Superstore, Jayson Jewelers, Pastimes Antiques, Shivelbine Music Store, Visit Cape, and Zickfield’s Jewelry & Gifts.
