One hospitalized, suspect in custody after stabbing at Johnston City McDonald’s

JOHNSTON CITY, Ill. (KBSI) — One person was hospitalized and another was taken into custody following a stabbing Wednesday evening at a McDonald’s in Johnston City.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded with the Johnston City Police Department, Johnston City Fire Rescue and United Medical Response to the restaurant before 5:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a man who had been stabbed.

Authorities said one person was taken into custody at the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition has not been released.
