One injured in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 45 in Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — One person was injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 45 North near Keystone Drive, according to the Mayfield Police Department.

Investigators said Tabitha Smith, 38, of Mayfield, was driving a 2017 GMC Terrain northbound on U.S. 45 when Louis Vaughn, 64, of Mayfield, attempted to turn onto the highway from a nearby parking lot in a 2008 Ford Fusion. The vehicles collided at the intersection.

Mayfield Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Corley Bayles, a passenger in Smith’s vehicle, was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with minor injuries.

No additional injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
