One injured in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 45 in Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Mayfield Police Department responded to a two-vehicle injury collision Thursday, Jan. 8, at U.S. Highway 45 North and Brien Drive.

Police said officers made contact with Camden McGuire, 22, of Mayfield and Heather Kenson, 41, of Hickory. Investigators said Kenson’s silver 2022 Nissan Maxima was stopped in traffic on U.S. 45 near Cracker Barrel when it was rear-ended by McGuire’s gray 2016 Kia Forte, which was traveling northbound.

According to police, McGuire told officers she briefly glanced away from the roadway before the collision occurred.

Kenson was transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Mayfield-Graves County EMS and Burl’s Wrecker Service assisted at the scene.
