Police say a Paducah man involved in a shooting incident has died from his injuries

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Update: A man who was reported to be in critical condition has now passed away.

According to an update from the Paducah Police Department 44-year-old Ben Hall Jr. died at an out of state hospital from injuries he suffered from a shooting incident.

Dorian Lewis age 21 of Paducah was previously facing charges of first-degree assault but will not face a murder charge.

-A man was arrested following a shooting Sunday evening that left another man in critical condition.

According to the Paducah Police Department on Sunday evening of December 22, at 5:41 pm officers responded to N. 8th and Campbell Streets for a reported shooting.

Officers located a man in the street and discovered he had been shot twice in the upper torso.

Officers immediately administered lifesaving first-aid prior to medical personnel arriving on the scene.

The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and later transferred to an out of state hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Detectives identified the shooter as, Dorian Lewis age 21 of Paducah and stated he was at the scene when officers arrived.

Lewis faces charges of first-degree assault.

Lewis was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
