CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to close a section of KY 339, also known as Clinton Road, on Monday, Apr. 13, weather permitting.
The road will be closed to through traffic between the McCracken-Graves County line and just south of KY 786, also known as Mayfield Metropolis Road, or mile points 0 to 2.
A cross drain will be replaced near mile point 0.2, north of Smokey Road in Melber.
Work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., and motorists are asked to self-detour.
Route C in Scott County, Missouri, will also be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over Saint John’s Ditch near Morley.
The closure will be between County Road 425 and County Road 407.
Weather permitting, work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, April 27, with completion anticipated Tuesday, Aug. 25. The road will remain closed until the project is finished.
A marked detour will be in place, and motorists are urged to use extreme caution in the area.
