CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Several road closures are scheduled across southeast Missouri and western Kentucky as crews perform maintenance and inspection work.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a temporary closure of the KY 1943 bridge at mile point 2.05 over Crab Creek in Lyon County on Friday, April 24, for an inspection.

The closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. Motorists are asked to self-detour.

In Hickman County, Kentucky, a section of KY 781 will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, for a cross drain replacement project.

The closure is located between KY 1825 at the Fulton-Hickman County line and KY 1529, or mile points 0 to 1.95. The work is expected to take two days and be completed by 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, weather permitting.

In Perry County, Missouri, Route Y will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

The closure is located between County Road 451 and Northanger Lane near Altenburg. Work is scheduled for Monday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
