Orange Barrel Feb. 18th

(KBSI) – The Illinois Department of Transportation plans work zone lane restrictions on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge between Paducah and Metropolis at the Kentucky-Illinois State Line, starting Monday, March 3, weather permitting.
The three-year I-24 Ohio River Bridge Rehab Project is being led by IDOT.
Lane restrictions will continue in 2025 until October 14.
During this construction season, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
Concrete barriers will be installed across the length of the bridge and width restrictions will be in effect.
The entire project is expected to be completed by September 2027.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has reduced the speed limit along a section of KY 131/Reidland Road through the Reidland community of McCracken County.
New signage reducing the speed limit from 45 to 35 miles per hour.
This speed limit reduction is aimed at enhancing safety for residential areas, local schools, the Reidland business district, and at multiple intersections.
