(KBSI) – The Illinois Department of Transportation plans work zone lane restrictions on Interstate 24.

This will be on the Ohio River Bridge between Paducah and Metropolis at the KY/IL state line.

It is set to begin Monday the 3rd.

Work will include replacement of expansion joints and deck overlay, structural steel repairs, bridge painting and other concrete repairs.

Traffic will be one lane in each direction.

Barriers will be installed across the length of the bridge.

East and westbound Route 74 in Cape Girardeau will be reduced to one lane as Missouri’s Department of Transportation does routine inspections of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge.

Work is set to begin Thursday the 27th of February.
