Orange Barrel Report April 10th

(KBSI)-The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet  is actively monitoring rising water levels along U.S. 60 near mile point 22.5 in Crittenden County, near the Crittenden-Union County line. At this time, water has reached the edge of the roadway.

After reviewing current flood levels, forecasts, and historical data from flooding in 2011, engineers have determined U.S. 60 will remain open today.

However, the road is expected to close due to high water on Friday afternoon, April 11.

KY 365, which would serve as a detour for U.S. 60, is also expected to flood and close on Friday, likely between 4 and 7 p.m.

Many roads remain covered in water from the fallout from the severe weather the past week.

In Cape Girardeau – Route P to Route 77 closed.

In Dunklin County – Route E – College AVE. to Vandeventer street in Kennett also closed.

In Butler County – Route N – County Road 243 to County Road 231 closed.
